On Friday, March 3, first graders at DCC enjoyed a special lesson from some BCAT (Brockway Center for Arts and Technology) employees. They learned how to imprint a little metal coin, with shapes, and even added a string to make it a necklace! The metal circles were placed on a wood slab with grooves in shapes, for a cool design. The kids were then helped to use a small hammer tool to put pressure on the metal, and indent the pattern into it. Kids had fun, and will even get to leave school today with a cool little piece of jewelry.
