Sandy Township Police Reports – April 3-4

April 3, 2019

A 28 year old Punxsutawney man reported that while he was waiting to pull out of the Falls Creek Sheetz, the vehicle in front of him drifted back and hit is vehicle then left the scene. No damage or injuries reported.

False alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.

Officers received a report of a person on an ATV trespassing in a shed at a residence on Hungry Hollow Road. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the offender. No damage and nothing was reported missing from the shed.

April 4, 2019

A vehicle driven by a 57 year old Treasure Lake man hit a stop sign that is held by a concrete post. Damage requiring the vehicle to be towed and minor injuries reported.

A vehicle driven by a 74 year old Circle Road man pulled onto SR 255 from Snappy’s into the path of a vehicle driven by a 16 year old Treasure Lake boy, causing the two to collide. No injuries and moderate damage reported.

A 22 year old Hanes Drive woman reported that while she was away from home someone broke into her apartment and turned on the gas stove, causing the residence to fill with gas. She was able to turn off the stove and vent the gas. No one saw anyone entering or exiting the residence. The situation was handled without incident.

A 20 year old employee of Arby’s reported that a known 50 year old man was in the restaurant who has been coming into her place of employment and has made unwanted advances toward her in the past. The manager conferred that the man had been in when the woman was working as well as coming in when she was not, and leaving when he found out she was not there.
