Behavioral Health Expansion Project To Be Completed Summer 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois East Campus

Last week, Penn Highlands Healthcare hosted a special luncheon for area elected officials as well as local law enforcement and representatives from area school districts, city and county offices and the Governor’s Northwest Regional Office to hear an update on our Behavioral Health expansion project on the Penn Highlands DuBois East campus, which is slated to be completed by the summer of 2021. Behavioral Health Service Line director, Richard Nenneau, spoke on the critical need for Behavioral Health services in Northwestern/Central Pennsylvania and beyond. Not only will the expansion project include a new dual diagnosis unit for patients who need Behavioral Health services as well as drug and alcohol detox and rehabilitation, but it also will include a new walk-in urgent care center specific to Behavioral Health issues; currently there is no such service within an approximately 65-mile radius.
