Every two years, the State Transportation Committee, PennDOT and various transportation partners update Pennsylvania’s Twelve Year Transportation Program (TYP). The public comment period will be open through April 26, 2019. During this time, an online survey, designed to prioritize transportation investment and pinpoint specific transportation needs throughout the Commonwealth, is available.
According to the State Transportation Commission website, the online survey is designed to prioritize transportation investment and pinpoint specific transportation needs throughout the Commonwealth. This survey will help inform PennDOT, Planning Partners, and the STC as they incorporate public transportation priorities into the Twelve Year Program Update Planning Process.
The 2021 TYP update is a two-year process. It starts in February 2019 with the release of the Transportation Performance Report followed by a public survey and online meeting in March and April. The STC compiles the feedback received and shares it with the Planning Partners. The feedback helps to shape the regional transportation plans which will form the statewide 2021 Twelve Year Program.
The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce would like to remind Lake News readers that the transportation survey is open until April 26, 2019. “If you haven’t taken it yet, we encourage you to take it and have your transportation concerns heard. Take the Survey by visiting http://survey.talkpatransportation.com/#/Survey. We also invite you to help us spread the word about this opportunity by sharing the survey with at least one other person! We want to exceed 5,000 completed surveys this year! Thank you in advance for your participation!”
