Sandy Township Police Reports – April 20-23

April 20, 2019

A vehicle driven by a 54 year old Treasure Lake man failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 76 year old Treasure Lake that was stopped at a red light on SR 255 near the I 80 entrances. No injuries reported.

A resident reported ATV’s riding up and down Don Street. The vehicles were gone upon officers arrival.

A Santa Lucia Road resident reported an unknown object damaged a window in the front of her residence.

False alarm at a Blue Jay Road residence.

False alarm at Burger King

Officers were dispatched to a Time to Bid Road residence for a 911 hang up call. It was found the call was accidental.

A 37 year old Hanes Drive resident reported that someone broke into her residence and took her ex-husbands drill, as well as damaging a screen and wall.

A 52 year old Treasure Lake woman reported that she received a call from a man with an accent stating there was a warrant issued for her arrest, and he needed her social security number. She recognized the call as a scam before giving out any personal information. Sandy Township Police department would like to remind residents that they should never give out personal information to anyone you don’t know.

A 53 year old Freedom Road resident reported that someone drove through her yard causing damage to landscaping and three solar lights in her driveway.

April 23, 2019

False alarm at Lowes

Officers received a report of two males riding dirt bikes in the back of the school. The two caused damage to the landscaping before they fled the scene. Investigation continues.

A 61 year old woman reported that she received a harassing phone call from her niece’s 25 year old boyfriend. Officers handled the situation without incident.

A tractor trailer driver backed into another tractor trailer in the parking lot of Pilot. No injuries reported.
