Technology is getting a face-lift at DuBois Christian Schools this coming school year thanks to a grant from the A.J. & Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust.  DCS was awarded $15,000 by the Palumbo Foundation to go toward helping fund multiple mobile computer labs at DCS.  “With our growing numbers, along with the growing need for our students to be trained to utilize technology effectively, efficiently, and responsibly in this 21st century, having one physical computer lab on campus was just not enough.” says Tracy Shenkle, Director of Development at DuBois Christian Schools.  “With these funds, as well as others raised by our supporters, we plan to create multiple mobile computer carts so the ‘lab’ can be brought to the students and educational technology use in the classroom can be enhanced through training of students and teachers by a technology coach.  Each of our classrooms already contains a virtual smartboard and document camera, the addition of mobile carts with chromebooks, as well as the utilization of the G-Suite for education will further allow our students to learn to use technology to enhance communication, collaboration and academics.  DCS is so thankful for the backing of the Palumbo Foundation in this worthwhile project!”
