Poolside Concert to Kick Off Summer Season at Treasure Lake

The summer season at Treasure Lake is kicking off with the popular DuBois band, The Ride, at the Poolside Bar and Grill from 7-10pm on Sunday, May 26th, with special guest appearance by August Wake.

The Ride, a DuBois based band formed in 2005, plays a wide variety of music from new rock and country to the best in 70’s and 80’s classic rock, according to their Facebook page. Band members include, John McCorkle on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Suzie Sullivan on lead vocals, Bill Thompson on bass and vocals, and Ron Barbbezzeni on drums and vocals.

Band members bring over 100 years of combined music experience to the stage. Some of the member’s former bands include EZ-STREET, SMOKIN JOE, and GRAND THEFT AUDIO. They have played over 100 shows including opening for GEORGE THOROGOOD in 08 and .38 Special in 2009…Also Chris Cagle in 2012 and The Clarks in 2013, one of the biggest drawing bands in the tri-county area. The song list includes Sugarland to Godsmack, AC/DC to Carrie Underwood and everything in between.

Special guest, August Wake, formed last summer and describes themselves as five guys from Pennsylvania who just couldn’t stay off the stage. They play original acoustic-based rock&roll and aim to be your favorite Appalachian Mountain Rock band.

August Wake band members include Matthew Wagner on lead vocals and guitar; Joe Scott on lead guitars and vocals; Manny B. on drums; Nate Beatty on keyboard, synthesizer, and vocals; and Dawg on bass and vocals.

“The pool will be open to about 6pm then it will close so they can set up the gates for access to the concert. Poolside Bar & Grill will be open and there will be food/drinks available,” shared TLPOA marketing director, Izen Lingenfelter. In the case of inclement weather the concert will be moved indoors to the Lakeview Lodge.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Tickets are limited and advanced ticket purchase at the POA office is encouraged.
