False alarm at JC Penney

An employee of the Country Place Trailer Court reported what looked like an abandoned vehicle parked at the end of Time to Bid Road.  Officers discovered who the owner was and that the vehicle was not stolen.  

An 84 year old Guy Ave. resident reported receiving a call stating her grandson was in trouble and needed money. She recognized the call as a scam and did not give the caller any information.  

A woman reported that her live in boyfriend assaulted her by hitting her in the head with an A&W mug.  Charges have been filed.

August 25, 2019

A 70 year old Clearfield woman reported a large buck ran out in front of her and she was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting him.  Moderate damage and no injuries reported.

A 31 year old man reported that after waking his dog he returned to his apartment, when a man came knocking on the door threatening him because the man thought his dog attacked a cat.  

A 63 year old Lewistown man lost control of his motorcycle while traveling on Rockton Road, causing it to travel off the road. The man was transported by helicopter to a trauma center.  

A 72 year old DuBois woman reported that her Pomeranian ran off while they were on the Rails to Trails.
