Reprinted from FOCUS on Treasure Lake Living Jun 1979

The Ladies of the Lake Bowling League banquet was held on May 10th at the Country Club. Awards were handed out that evening for achievements over the past year. Fern Simmers received the Most Improved Bowler award, increasing her average by 20 pins over the season. Madge DeLucia was recognized for her high series of 589 and Ann Jacobs for her high game of 233. The “Chippies” (Linda Richards, Chris Anderson, Mary Wagner, and Kay Weber) were the league champions with 71 games won and 41 games lost. Congratulations Ladies!

Officers for the coming year were elected and are as follows: Kay Weber, President, Shirley Farrer Vice President, Fran Dittes Treasurer, and Mary Wagner Secretary. We plan to be adding more teams to our league for the ’79-80 season. If anyone is interested in joining please contact Kay Weber.

On behalf of the officers for the past year I’d like to thank Mr. Nick DeLucia, our League Sponsor, and all the ladies who helped to make it a successful and enjoyable bowling season.
